I always miss real, authentic paczki from Hamtramck on Fat Tuesday. They usually try to pass something similar off here in the Publix bakery, but they're just extra-lardy jelly donuts :(
Oh those Jelly Buns! I'm going to get mine today at a place called Holland Farms...it's in a village that is predominantly Polish.....ooooh those ishy squishy jelly buns with powdered sugar that coats the whole front of you! We have a wonderful commercial that runs the whole month of february because it is Jelly Bun Month in Utica and surrounding areas.
