Well, if THAT'S how today is going to be...

...then I'm going back to bed. I went into testing today for the elusive 100 wpm literary take, and I'm going along, feeling really confident. I was about halfway through, feeling great because I had only dropped maybe five words, when I looked at my paper tape and noticed that it wasn't advancing and my lines were writing on top of each other. The freakin' battery DIED about a minute into the test! By the time I got the machine switched into manual mode, I had missed a whole paragraph! Grrrr....That'll teach my dumb ass from going into a test without my power cord.

On the bright side, Ms. P. said she'll test me again tomorrow, and she'll give us two since it's the end of the quinmester. So I have one more day of practicing WAY above my speed level, which, surprisingly, helps a great deal more than I would have thought. Tonight I will be running off the stress of this morning, then practicing my ass off, so think about me on Wednesday morning and maybe say a little prayer that everything goes right (for once). I'm so close, I can taste it. Just gotta think positive. Positive. Positive.

Lesson learned: Always go in with your power cord, and keep your rat bastard battery charged.

Ever onward.

I hate it when that happens. Batteries should last forever. Pisses me off when I'm out for a run and my "rat ass" battery dies so I have to run with no music...ack.

Hope the retest went well.

HA! I like your description of yourself...Good luck on the next test.
And if you are wondering what to do with your life...how about a tri? Makes things interesting anyway...and gives you more to complain and whine about! :-)
